New York-March 14…Liberal Republican NY-3 primary candidate Michael LiPetri’s past work for former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio — coupled with his well-known dislike for former President Donald Trump —  is a legitimate concern for Republican primary voters in Queens and on Long Island, the campaign of conservative Republican reform candidate Greg Hach today charged.

“Everyone knows that Mayor de Blasio took a thriving city and drove it into the ground, but what’s less well known is that then liberal-Democrat Michael LiPetri was at the mayor’s side all along the way,” noted Hach campaign spokesman Bill O’Reilly. “Mr. LiPetri, a chief de Blasio lieutenant, only changed parties to run for office from Long Island. Prior to his miraculous and politically convenient transformation, Mr. LiPetri was a key player in progressive administration that gutted public safety laws, made New York a ‘sanctuary city’, and increased taxes. It’s no wonder Republican voters soundly rejected liberal LiPetri when he tried to run in an adjacent congressional district two years ago.”

The Hach campaign said Mr. LiPetri should apologize, or at least express his regrets, for taking part in a ‘woke’ administration that destroyed two decades of progress under Republican mayors.

“Mr. LiPetri needs to explain to Republican voters exactly what he was thinking and doing with Mayor de Blasio, and to make clear any regrets he may have for taking part in one of the worst mayoralities in New York history,” Mr. O’Reilly continued. Exacerbating Mr. LiPetri’s friction with GOP primary voters is his well-known disdain for President Trump who is overwhelmingly supported by NY-3 Republicans. Republican voters want a conservative voice with backbone representing them in Congress, not a man who helped bring crime and the migrant crisis to our streets.”

Greg Hach, a successful labor attorney and Air Force veteran, is the conservative Republican reform candidate in the race to challenge Rep. Tom Suozzi in November.  He is a husband and father of three.
